Below is a list
of answers to some frequent questions we get here at The Lone
Star Jukebox.
If you have a question that you do not see answered here, please feel free to
contact us.
- What exactly is The Lone Star
Jukebox and what do you do?
LSJ, part of the non-profit Pacifica
Public Radio Network (ie: no commercial sponsors), broadcasting live on
KPFT 90.1 FM in Houston, is dedicated to bringing new and emerging musical
talent from across the state of Texas to people looking for exciting new
music not found in the mainstream media.
- I'm an aspiring new artist. If I send you a sample of my music,
will you play it on the air?
Absolutely! (pending
careful review by our hardworking staff). LSJ is always looking for new
artists! All music submissions must be on CD (no e-mailed MP3's). Please
send your submissions to:

- Do you do live interviews with new bands or artists on the air,
and if so, how do I sign up?

live performances! If you are interested in scheduling an on-air interview,
please contact us using our handy response form!
- How can I become a volunteer at KPFT?
It's easy! Just come in to one of our thrice yearly (that's 3 times
a year) volunteer recruitment meetings and we'll sign you up! Call KPFT
